Our fishing trips typically last 4-8 hours, giving you plenty of time on the water to enjoy the experience and chase some fish! Trip lengths may vary depending on type of trip, weather conditions and fishing conditions. We'll make the most of your time on the water and work hard to give you a memorable trip.

YES Missouri requires anyone 16 or older to obtain a fishing license here is the link to purchase the license Online-Sales | Missouri Department of Conservation. Anyone OVER the age of 65 does not need a fishing license per Missouri state guidelines. License are not included with your trip, so please make sure you have the appropriate license before arriving. If you're unsure which license you need, we're happy to point you in the right direction.

Everything necessary to catch fish! Rods, Reels, Bait, Fuel for the Boat, and fish cleaning services are all included. We'll handle the set up and guide you throughout the trip from finding the fish to helping you with techniques and equipment.

You will need to bring a fishing license (if between the ages of 16 to 64), weather- appropriate clothing, food and drinks, sunscreen and a cooler for your filleted fish if you intend to keep.

On the Catfish trips we typically catch a majority of these catfish-Blues, Channels and occasionally a Flathead! For our Spring snagging trips, we will be catching Spoonbill (aka Paddlefish).

Yes, the boat and the captain are both USCG certified and fully insured.

Safety always comes first at Walker's Guide Service. If weather conditions are unsafe for your scheduled trip- such as severe storms, dangerous winds, lightning or other hazardous conditions- we will work with you to reschedule your trip for another available date. We'll monitor the forecast leading up to your trip and communicate with you if conditions are expected to affect your outing. PLEASE DON'T cancel on your own because of a forecast- contact us first so we can determine the best option together. If weather causes us to cancel and we're unable to find a suitable rescheduled date, our applicable cancellation/refund policy will apply. Our goal is simple: get you on the water when it's safe and make sure you have a great experience.

Yes! If the species, size, and number of fish you catch are legal to keep under current state fishing regulation, you're welcome to keep your catch. We'll help you understand the applicable regulations and make sure you know the legal limits for the species you're targeting. If you prefer catch-and-release, that's absolutely welcome too. Our goal is to make sure you have a great day on the water while treating the fish and fishery responsibly. PLEASE NOTE: Regulations can change, so current state regulations always take priority. *Captain's suggestion any fish over 10lbs be release back into the water to help sustain the fish population due to catfish slow growth.

YES! Walker's Guide Service provides the bait, fishing rods, reels and tackle needed for your guided fishing trips. You don't need to worry about bringing your own fishing equipment- we'll have everything prepared and ready to go when you arrive.

Absolutely! Our trips are great for anglers of all experience levels, including first-time anglers. You don't need to have any previous fishing experience to enjoy a trip with Walker's Guide Service. Whether you're an experienced angler or have never picked up a fishing rod, we'll make sure you're comfortable, having fun and making memories on the water.

Gratuities are not required but they are always greatly appreciated. If I put you on fish, worked hard to make your day special, and gave you an experience worth remembering, a gratuity is a great way to show your appreciation.

Fishing is fishing- and there are no guarantees. While we work hard to put you in the best position to catch fish, factors such as weather conditions, fish activity, season patterns and other nature conditions are beyond our control. There may be days when fish simply don't cooperate, and a successful catch cannot be guaranteed. Our Promise. We promise to try everything possible to get you on fish, we will try new spots, switch up tactics.

No Guarantees- Just Great Fishing Fishing is unpredictable and no catch or specific number of fish can never be guaranteed. Fish behavior is influenced by weather, water temperature, water levels, seasonal patterns and other natural conditions that can change from day to day that are out of our control. Our Captain will use their experience, knowledge, and best available information to give you the best opportunity possible to catch fish. However, even with the best preparation and effort. There may be days when the fish just simple don't cooperate. You're booking the experience, the expertise and the opportunity - not a guaranteed catch. We'll work hard from start to finish to make your time on the water safe, enjoyable and memorable.
